Brett is from a racing family and is a fourth generation trainer. He is currently based in Southern QLD training from his Toowoomba base. Providing runners at most QLD Metropolitan race meetings. He has enjoyed success with well over 200 winners including Petersfield Lad, Kalahari Sands, Castlebend, Tully Spur and Elrond to name a few. More recently General Secretary, Red Felt, Saphira, Tully Tenor and promising 3yo Dusty's Felt.

Feature race wins include The Cleveland Bay Hcp, COLES MYER Bracelet, Cairns Lightning, Gordonvale Cup, Atherton Bracelet, 3 Castlemain Classics and 3 Jack Wilson Memorial Hcps. Placings in the listed Townsville Cup, Cairns Newmarket, Townsville Lightning Hcp, Jonhson River Hcp, Innisfail Cup and Ipswich Mile Hcp run on Ipswich Cup Day.
After 5 years forman for his father Brett found himself in charge of a 12 horse team in the small Northern town of Gordonvale. His first starter in July 1994 was a winner in the way of Northern Special. This led to winning 3 consecutive premierships in North QLD and later relocating to Townsville and eventually Toowoomba. Currently he has a small team of 6 led by recent Brisbane winner General Secretary – winner of 4 of her past 8 starts.
Brett has worked as a farrier and horse breaker for some time including 10 yrs polocrosse at state level, but now focus on full time training. He has a small team with a supporting family. He has access to cross training methods in the form of showjumping and dressage work to refocus horses minds.
